REQUIREMENTS for all participating Industrial Facilities
All participating Industrial Facilities are required to audit their sites annually and review their program to ensure that they are in full compliance with both the monitoring records and other documents needed as part of their permit. They also inspect their sites to determine if their Best Management Practices (BMP’s) are effective, in good working order, and if any changes need to be made to improve the quality of their discharge.
Many Industrial facilities choose to hire outside environmental professionals to provide an independent review of their program. This review often comes from a different perspective bringing knowledge of practices other facilities may be using and possibly, with collaboration from your environmental manager, can help simplify your regulatory due diligence and improve your program.
